Polska Szkoła Sobotnia Blackburn

Polish Saturday School in Blackburn Adam Mickiewicz was established in 1950 on the initiative of Mr. Edward Chlebik in consultation and with the help of the president of the SPK circle, Mr. Janusz Galster and the parish priest in Blackburn, Fr. S. Wojcik.

The school’s mission is to teach the Polish language, geography and history of Poland, and to teach faith in accordance with the assumptions of the Catholic Church. Teaching and educating children and youth in the spirit of patriotism, morality and personal culture. Cultivating Polish tradition and culture. Promoting Polish culture among the local community. Inspiring young people to respect themselves, others and the world around them.
